Description Of Service

American Fire Prevention will clean four (4) components of the kitchen exhaust system, including exhaust fan, duct, plenum and hood. We will clean every system in accordance with NFPA #96 standards. If this is not possible, we will provide information explaining why, and what needs to be done to bring the system into compliance with NFPA #96, such as installation of access panels, exhaust fan hinge kits and hood filter replacement.


Cleaning Method

American Fire Prevention will clean your kitchen exhaust system, including all hoods, ducts and fans, down to bare metal according your cleaning schedule for each location and cooking type. Depending upon the severity of the buildup in each system, there may be areas of carbonized grease buildup that will require additional attention.

American Fire Prevention will not move your kitchen equipment to clean behind or under the equipment. Once all of the cooking equipment has been wrapped in plastic, we use a combination of mechanical (hot water pressure washing) and chemical methods to clean your kitchen exhaust system. We pride ourselves with the ability of having 99% water control during our cleaning process, which prevents the grease water from ever touching the cooking equipment or kitchen floor.
