Lack of maintenance can lead to an extinguisher not discharging when required, or rupturing when pressurized. According to fire code, annual inspections are required by a qualified technician to ensure the unit is pressurized and unobstructed. Hydrostatic pressure testing is also required, generally ever five years for water and CO2 models and up to 12 years for dry chemical models.

HERE ARE A FEW OF THE TYPES OF FIRE EXTINGUISHER WE CAN PROVIDE:

DRY Chemical Fire Extinguishers
Dry chemical extinguishers are available in a variety of types and sizes.
These are usually the best economical choice for compliance applications.
They produce a yellow powder when activated.
Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishers
Carbon Dioxide fire extinguishers discharge a white cloud that smothers
fire by eliminating its oxygen. It is effective for Class B flammable liquid fires
and is electrically non- conductive.
Halotron Fire Extinguishers
Halotron is a “Clean Agent” HCFC discharged as a rapidly evaporating liquid
without leaving a residue. It effectively extinguishes Class A and B fires by cooling and smothering the hazard while preventing any electrical conductivity
back to the operator.
Wet Chemical Fire Extinguishers
Also known as type K extinguisher: They are the best restaurant kitchen

tested and approved for the new Class K listing by UL specifically for restaurant
kitchen hazards.
